Bob Embry
Bob and his wife Cori were married in 1998 and have two sons Christopher and Steven. Bob and Cori began attending Northeast in 2006. Bob began leading Financial Peace University in 2007 after the class had such a profound impact on his family. He has a passion for helping people, especially to help them get on a path to financial freedom and how to be good stewards with all of God’s blessings.
Marc & Barb Gritton
Marc and Barb were married in 1980 and, as Barb laughs, “the last few have actually been pretty good!” They have been members of NECC since 1996 and have been involved in several ministries, but you will probably recognize them both from the drama ministry. They are the parents of 2 adult sons, Andrew and Alex and have been through many of the struggles that face couples today. When asked about their passion for the Marriage Ministry, they said, “We believe that God wastes nothing. If He can redeem the hard times in our marriage by sharing our experience, strength and hope, then we would be honored to do so.”
David Holdcraft
David and Beth were married in 1979 and have three grown children and one grandchild. David was ordained in 1987 and has served churches in Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico and Louisville. David has been an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University here in Louisville since 2001. He teaches several Bible courses, Marriage and Family, and a few business courses. Since 2005 David has been on a sabbatical from pastoral ministry and has his own house painting business. In 2008 David started Reasons Ministries; a ministry committed to equipping believers to know what and why they believe so they can stand firm in the Christian faith, be effective tools in God’s hand for reaching those that do not yet know Christ and to be able to apply practical apologetics to everyday life. David and Beth have been attending Northeast since 2005.
Ben Spradlin
Married to Jennifer Thacker since 2003. I have two daughters, Erin and Katherine. I work as a Loan Officer at Aaron Mortgage Company. Began attending Northeast in 2002. Co-led The Truth Project study group and have been though mentor training. I have a passion for God's Word. One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:2.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.
Marty and Lynn Willing
Marty and Lynn have been members of NECC for about four years. They have been married since 1997 and lived in Texas and Ohio before returning to Louisville. They have an 11 year old daughter and are active foster parents with the state. Both Marty and Lynn have a passion for the parenting ministry. “We have learned so much through classes and our own parenting mistakes that we feel called to share what we've learned. Who knew that the Bible directs us on how to parent?! We found that biblical principles gave us a foundation for parenting and often the 'how to.' But it also changes OUR hearts in the process, so we understand the importance God places on our role as parents."
