Global Service Opportunities
Northeast has been blessed to be able to partner with missionaries Rick and Suzanne York and the Eastern Dominican Christian Mission since 2003. Northeast has committed to work with Rick and Suzanne to help plant churches in the Dominican Republic (DR). We provide monthly financial support so that they can focus on the work God has called them to do in the DR.

In addition to financial support we send two teams per year (February and November) to provide a variety of practical, hands-on work for both the church and for those who live in La Romana. All of this is done in order to help point people back to the church, Christian Community of the East Church, in La Romana.

Victor Jimenez has been faithfully serving the church in La Romana as the Senior Pastor since October 2004 and we continue to develop our relationship with Victor and other members of the church. You can stay state side and participate in global opportunities by praying for Rick and Suzanne as they are praying about the next church plant being in the Punta Cana area. Please be praying for Victor and his family as they provide leadership to the church in La Romana.


Mission Trip to New Orleans – November 4-10
Join us as we take a team to New Orleans to help rebuild existing homes and build new homes for those devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The cost is $200. For more information or to sign up, stop by the Impacting booth in the foyer or contact Randy Gordon randy.gordon@necchurch.org or 212-5250.


Northeast Surgical Team makes Impact in the Dominican Republic

Northeast sent a team of sixteen people to LaRomana, Dominican Republic in early March to work with the church there. The purpose of the trip was to outreach to the community through the LaRomana church by providing free surgical services. The team performed 31 surgeries, including eight surgeries on children from a local orphanage.

All of the children suffered from umbilical hernias that caused their belly buttons to protrude. Pictured to the left is Northeast member, Sara Dean with one of the little girls from the orphanage prior to her surgery.


Surgical/Dental Trip to the Dominican Republic – March 8-15, 2008
If you are interested in being part of the surgical/dental teams that will go to the Dominican Republic on March 8, 2008, please stop by the Impacting booth to pick up a registration packet. A $100 deposit must accompany your registration. All registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first serve basis. The registration deadline is Monday, November 5.
